Catherine Zeta-Johnson Heads To Damaged City

Catherine Zeta-Johnson has closed her deal to star in Damaged City, joining Mark Wahlberg and Russell Crowe within the Allen Hughes-directed drama. Zeta-Johnson will have the philandering wife from the mayor of NY (Crowe). Whenever a Brooklyn detective (Wahlberg) is hired through the mayor to recognize his wife’s lover, and also the lover appears dead, the detective takes it personally and reveals a wider conspiracy including his employer. John Tucker authored the script and Randall Emmett, Stephen Levinson, Wahlberg and George Furla will produce. The $50 million film has been fully funded by Emmett/Furla Films and New Regency lately came on as producer, with Fox disbursing. Shooting starts November in NY. Zeta-Johnson lately completed three large films. She’s coming from the Adam Shankman-directed Rock Of Age range with Tom Cruise, Russell Logo and Alec Baldwin, starred with Gerard Butler, Jessica Biel and Dennis Quaid in Playing The Area, and starred within the Stephen Frears-directed Lay The Favourite with Bruce Willis and Vince Vaughn.
